Offshore Middle East and Caspian Sea Database
Offshore Middle East & Caspian Sea Online identifies all fields which are being planned or considered for development offshore Middle East & Caspian Sea, including the Mediterranean, Red Sea, Arabian Gulf and the Caspian Sea. It includes all shallow water as well as the deep and ultra-deepwater projects. It looks at developments that are planned for the current year and then those for four years hence.
The Middle East and Caspian Sea is the major oil and gas field reserve area of the world. Much of this is offshore, and much still remains under developed in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, all of which have major field developments in train. In the Caspian Sea the AIOC consortium headed by BP is rapidly going ahead with the ACG complex and the Shah Deniz gas development is to follow shortly. The BTC pipeline is under construction too. To the north, Agip is developing the giant Kashagan field and the Russian sector of the North Caspian Sea is yielding more and more finds.
